Introduction

Vaginitis is inflammation of the vagina (soreness and swelling). Many women with vaginitis also get: an abnormal vaginal discharge irritation or itching pain while urinating or having sex light bleeding or spotting A strong, unpleasant smell, particularly after sex, can also be a sign. Some women with vaginitis may experience few other symptoms or none at all.
